There’s a smashed avo music festival on the same day as the royal wedding

Here’s an idea worth spreading.

May 19 has been a decidedly hot date in the Commonwealth’s calendar since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose it for their royal wedding. But if raising a glass to mark the occasion hasn’t been on your list of priorities, making a toast at the Music & Avocado Festival may very well whet your appetite.

Melbourne’s CBD will play host to what can only be described as the ultimate avocado aficionado’s big day out, with homegrown talent taking the stage and plenty of brunch-based performances to sink your teeth into.

And if avocado on toast in a foreign city wasn’t enough to pique your interest, perhaps activated almond and avocado cocktails, avocado and spoon races and smashed avo masterclasses might cater to you.

It’s so close you can almost taste it…
