Do you know your coenzymes from your collagen, your stem cells from your GAGs? We decipher beauty jargon to help you find the best product for your skin.

niacinamide

Niacinamide

How it works: Also known as vitamin B3, niacinamide is a potent cell-communicating ingredient that can improve skin’s elasticity, help erase discolouration, and revive healthy texture. Skin therapist Lauren Harding of The Face Place says, “Niacinamide is a fantastic addition to your skin regime and benefits everyone. It will balance oil and hydration, and increase absorption of other actives or treatment serums.”

You need it if: You have pigmentation. Check the quantity in each product as with some you only have to apply it where needed.
