Do you know your coenzymes from your collagen, your stem cells from your GAGs? We decipher beauty jargon to help you find the best product for your skin.

q-10

Coenzyme Q10

How it works: It’s a compound that is made in our bodies and used by cells to get the energy they need to grow and stay healthy. Problem is, as we age the production of coenzyme Q10 tapers off, which means the amount of it in our cells becomes less
and less.

You need it if: You’re a vegetarian, as it’s present in most meat and fish. Keep an eye out too if you have rough, lacklustre skin as it might be a sign you’re lacking in it.
