This April, esteemed Malborough winery Cloudy Bay will launch its inaugural Wonderscape by Cloudy Bay at Mawhiti residence on Waiheke Island. A decadent long lunch experience, Wonderscape is a celebration of New Zealand’s best wine, food, and music, and the first of many Cloudy Bay events hosted around the world.
Wonderscape itinerary
Wonderscape commences with guests assembling at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, embarking on super yacht Rua Moana for a refreshing morning sail to Waiheke Island. A private chauffeur will then transport guests to Mawhiti, a waterfront estate showcasing the best of architecture, art, and captivating views of the Auckland skyline, Rangitoto Island, and Hauraki Gulf.
Upon arrival to Mawhiti, guests will be welcomed by Wonderscape host and foodie extraordinaire Polly Markus. With a flute in hand of the crisp and sophisticated Cloudy Bay Pelorus, guests will partake in a perfectly paired shucking workshop led by Cloudy Bay Clams and indulge in the fresh sea delicacy.
Following the workshop, guests will be treated to a three-course long lunch designed by friend of Wonderscape and virtuoso chef Hercules Noble. Beautifully styled by creative visionary Kayla Jurlina, the experience is, of course, accompanied by matching Cloudy Bay wines.
Throughout the day, live music performances will complement the affair, including a bespoke soundscape reminiscent of the natural surroundings of Mawhiti and Cloudy Bay’s Marlborough home.
Wonderscape tickets
The exclusive ticketed Wonderscape event will take place on Saturday, 30 April 2022, and can be booked for groups of two, four or six.
Tickets are $450 per person and include a shucking workshop, a three-course lunch and wine pairings, entertainment, a chartered super yacht from downtown Auckland to Waiheke Island return, and luxury SUV transfers on Waiheke Island.
