1. SKIMS is moving in
It’s official – SKIMS is on its way to New Zealand. The global brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede will make its local debut at Faradays on Queen Street when it opens in August 2026, marking a major retail moment for Auckland. Known for redefining everyday essentials through elevated, inclusive design, SKIMS leads Faradays’ first brand reveal, setting the tone for its 150+ global lineup. Expect an experiential, multi-level space where fashion, beauty and culture come together in a completely new way.
2. After hours
Harris Tapper looks to darker territory for Pre-Fall 2026, drawing on Victorian mourning and the codes of sleepwear. The focus sits on texture – velvet against washed cotton and featherweight silk – layered with embroidered details that reference wrought iron and antique interiors. Familiar styles return with a subtle shift in tone, while soft knitwear in muted shades brings balance. For those drawn to something moodier this season, look no further.

3. Slow burn
When a candle house has been around since 1643, you know it’s not your average arrival. Maison Trudon — founded in Paris on rue Saint-Honoré — is now stocked at ECC, bringing with it nearly four centuries of craft and ritual. From hand-poured wax in Normandy to hand-blown glass in Tuscany, everything is still made slowly and entirely by hand, which feels almost radical now. It’s the kind of design ECC has built its world around since 1909, making this a very natural meeting of two houses that believe good things take time.
4. No occasion needed
Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but Partridge is showing they’re also her everyday uniform. Off-Duty Diamonds shot in Auckland’s CBD by an all-female creative team, following model Renee Wilkins in motion and capturing the rhythm of a woman’s life in constant movement. Directed by Partridge Brand and Creative Director Madeline Saxton-Beer, with photography by Holly Sarah Burgess, film by Greta van der Star, styling by Courtney Joe, and hair and makeup by Alexandra Stanworth-Brown. Rather than waiting for an occasion, it reframes jewellery as part of the everyday – pieces that move with her, not for a moment, but for life. Available across New Zealand in Partridge boutiques in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.
5. Sweet dreams
Brighten bedtime style with cosy, colour-pop stripes. The Tula sleepwear pieces from Wallace Cotton put a fresh spin on classic stripey PJs, with a wide two-tone stripe in merlot and pink.. Made from super soft, yarn-dyed organic cotton, they’re breathable, comfy, and made for slow mornings and early nights. Basically the kind of set you’ll want to live in. Did we mention how soft they are?
