Drumroll please… Introducing the Miss FQ Collective
Are you an aspiring writer, photographer, stylist, website developer, graphic designer, statistician or super-talented slashie, passionate about the future of females? Would you like to have your voice heard and amplified by a powerhouse brand (*ahem* that would be us BTW) while initiating conversations and helping to tell important stories? What about exclusive invites to Miss FQ parties, fashion shows and film screenings, access to the Miss FQ team and wider fashion and media industries, advance copies of each new issue of Miss FQ, and the chance to see your own work published online and in print? Most importantly, do you live and breathe Miss FQ?
Then we want YOU to be part of the Miss FQ Collective.
THE WHAT?
The Miss FQ Collective is a squad of switched-on readers, each with something to say and looking for a platform to say it. Part focus group, part contributors’ panel and totally VIP, the collective will be regularly called upon by the Miss FQ team to respond to topical questions, and to submit work that could be featured in our magazine and on our website and social media channels. Your diverse backgrounds and opinions will make you a voice for other young Kiwis whose thoughts and ideas we want to see and share more of in 2018.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
As a member of the Miss FQ Collective you will contribute as part of a panel to a spread in the next three issues of Miss FQ. You will need to adhere to our editorial deadlines (no homework extensions here!), but don’t worry, we will give you plenty of time to do your thing, as well as guidance along the way from an appropriate Miss FQ mentor. You will be assigned additional tasks based on your area of expertise, whether that’s writing an article on the latest food trends or producing a photo shoot to be published on MissFQ.co.nz. And as an official Miss FQ ambassador, you will receive a hot-off-the-press copy of each new issue to promote via your personal social media channels.
WHAT YOU GET FROM US
In addition to regular exposure both in print and online, with your own bio and a portfolio of your contributions housed under the Miss FQ Collective tab on MissFQ.co.nz, you will be sent amazing products and beauty samples to review — many of which won’t even be available to buy yet. And if that’s not enough to induce the envy of your friends, you’ll get all the perks that come with being in the inner circle of New Zealand’s best-selling magazine for millennials.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Apply below. We want you to tell us a bit about yourself, the causes you are passionate about, and what you would bring to the table as a member of the Miss FQ Collective. Applications are open now for the first round (we will recruit for our next round later in 2018). We can’t wait to hear from you!
Terms and Conditions – Miss FQ Collective:
-
Information on how to enter and Prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the Miss FQ Collective competition (the Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
-
The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents. Employees of the Promoter and any agency involved with this Promotion, and the immediate families of such employees, are not eligible to enter.
-
The Promotion commences on 19 March 2018 and the first round of entries closes on 20 April 2018 at 11.59pm NZT (the Promotion Period).
-
To enter the Promotion, simply complete the Promotion application form and submit your application via www.MissFQ.co.nz/MFQCollective during the Promotion Period (the Content).
-
You confirm and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish the Content you submit; and you license to the Promoter all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights in and to such Content for publication by the Promoter.
-
By submitting Content to the Promoter, you hereby grant Bauer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, publish, adapt, make available online or electronically transmit, and perform the Content in connection with the Promoter’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business. The above licenses granted by you are perpetual and irrevocable.
-
You further agree that the Content you submit will not contain third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or you are otherwise legally entitled to use the Content for this purpose and to grant the Promoter all of the license rights granted herein.
-
Entrants may only enter the Promotion once during the Promotion Period.
-
The winner(s) will be determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion, following a review of the completed entry forms for the Promotion (the Competition Draw). In the event that an ineligible entry is drawn or the Promoter is unable to contact a winner within [5 working days] of determining the winners, having made reasonable attempts to do so, the Promoter may deem that winner’s entry invalid and select a new winner on the same terms as the original Promotion terms.
-
Each winning entrant shall receive the opportunity to be a member of the Miss FQ Collective (the Prize). In order to receive the Prize, each winning entrant will need to enter into the Miss Fashion Quarterly Agreement.
-
The Prize is not transferable, changeable or redeemable for cash.
-
In the event that the Prize or any part of the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may in its sole discretion decide to provide an alternative prize.
-
Neither the Promoter nor any other entity associated with this competition will be responsible for any late, lost, misdirected or incorrectly submitted entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to technical problems or human error. The time entries are deemed to be made will be the time the entry is received, not the time the entry is submitted by an entrant.
-
The Promoter reserves the right to disallow entries in its absolute discretion and without giving reasons.
-
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and determine the eligibility of entrants (including an entrant’s identity) and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a Prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, or where an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these terms and conditions or the spirit of the promotion.
-
By entering this Promotion, entrants agree to the use of their names, photographs and likeness for promotional/advertising purposes, and agree to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose. The ensuing copyright will rest with the Promoter, without any claim to compensation from the entrants.
-
All competition entries become the property and copyright of the Promoter. By entering this promotion, entrants assign copyright in their entry to the promoter.
-
The winners acknowledge and agree that they will comply with all instructions given by employees of the Promoter and other agencies associated with this promotion, and agree not to do anything that may bring the Promoter into disrepute.
-
The winners agree that as a condition of their participation in the Prize, they will be required to execute an additional agreement governing the terms of the Prize, as provided by the Promoter.
-
If a winner cannot accept or take part in the Prize for any reason, their Prize will be void and no compensation will be payable.
-
Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
-
All decisions made by the Promoter its employees or agents are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
-
If the promotion is not able to operate as anticipated for any reason, the Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel any aspect of the competition (including any Prize) at any time in its sole discretion.
-
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies), excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected ; (d) any variation in the Prize; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or entrant; or (f) use of a Prize.
-
As a condition of participating in the Prize, the winner indemnifies the Promoter, all organisers, sponsors and all other persons and organisations associated in any way with this promotion against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including costs on a solicitor-client basis) which the winner and the Promoter may incur arising out of the winner’s participation in the promotion and/or participating in the Prize, howsoever caused.
-
The Promoter collects and holds personal information provided by entrants for the purposes of this promotion and for future promotional purposes, research, marketing, surveys and other purposes associated with the Promoter’s business. Failure to provide requested personal information may disqualify a person from being able to receive a Prize. All personal information provided by entrants will be held by the Promoter. Under the Privacy Act 1993, entrants have the right to access and request correction of any such personal information, and may do so by sending an email to [email protected].
