Kate Sylvester released its first Upcycled collection today, reimagining dead stock and flawed garments into entirely new items in a nod to clothing circularity.

Refashioning garments into something new is a beautiful thing and a way to challenge the bounds of creativity. The Kate Sylvester workroom team have done just this, transforming fringed blouses into evening bags, full skirts into lean dresses, and merging multiple garments into one.

The KS Upcycled collection features 12 one-off pieces, all equally impressive in both their functionality and design. The collection is a valuable reminder not to disregard the potential of flawed garments, even if these garments serve no meaningful purpose in their current form.

Kate Sylvester says, “this project has been such a creative, rewarding way to keep Kate Sylvester clothing in use for longer. We’ve turned damaged and dead stock into beautiful one off garments and it’s allowed us to think really creatively to give these garments a new lease of life.”
