Burgers are quickly becoming a staple in the windy capital

How much do Wellingtonians love delicious patties sandwiched in a locally baked bun? So much so that we have a two and a half week dedication to it every year, aptly named ‘Burger Welly’. During Burger Welly this year, we sampled over 20 different burgers –  it’s safe to say that Nom Girls know their way around a burger!

So, steady on while Nom Girls show you their favourite burgers from the capital. Some of them are big. Some of them are bigger. Some of them are gorgeous while some are downright ugly but they all have one thing in common – they’re all delicious.

Croquette Noms: Tried the @burgerliquor WOAP entry … The croquettes DELICIOUS the burger was … Ok bit dry, just needed more sauce!

More Burger Noms: Pirinoa Station lamb backstrap, Angry Peach molasses, hot’n’cold yoghurt, carrot and lettuce. Solid effort, but the yoghurt and molasses overpowered the other flavours so I give this one a respectable 7/10.
