5 things we loved this week

From mesh lingerie and ocean-inspired jewellery to a national industry summit and salon-level hair tools, here’s what the FQ team are coveting this week.

1. Sheer intentions

If you love beautiful lingerie, it’s likely you’ve already heard of OHEN. In their most considered release yet, The Mesh Series arrives in black and the much-anticipated white, sitting within the brand’s signature clean lines and subtle vintage references. At the centre is a new Demi bra, refined over time with straight lines replacing the floating centre front for a cleaner, more pared-back silhouette. Sheer mesh is layered with lace throughout, finished with a soft double strap detail. The briefs echo the same balance of contrast, continuity and ease. Safe to say, we’ve already added them to cart.

2. Ode to the ocean

Zoë & Morgan’s Song of the Sea feels like it’s been pulled straight from a childhood spent by the ocean. Inspired by shells and their history as some of the first objects of adornment, the collection revisits something simple and universal, then gives it a modern touch. Created by Morgan, Zoë and Ruth, the pieces lean into memory as much as design. At the heart, conch shell symbolism runs through the Kailani necklace, earrings and bracelet, alongside the Shell Seeker Charm, a nod to the ritual of searching, collecting and holding meaning close.

Designed to take hair from wet to polished, it combines controlled ceramic heat and powerful airflow to smooth frizz and boost shine. 4. Where fabric meets future

Fashion & Textiles NZ has announced the Threads of Tomorrow Summit, an industry-first event bringing together leaders across Aotearoa’s fibre, textile, design, manufacturing and retail sectors, backed by ASB. Taking place in Auckland on 16 June 2026, the one-day Summit will host over 200 decision-makers exploring how New Zealand can strengthen global competitiveness, accelerate innovation and build higher-value industries. With speakers including Nicola Willis, Victoria Mulligan, Emma Wallace and Patagonia’s Mark Little and Sarah Hayes, the programme spans Place, Possibility and Momentum.

5. Say cheese

Getting everyone in the shot just got easier. Fujifilm introduces the instax mini 13, a playful update to its popular instant camera, now with a built-in self-timer designed for hands-free moments, from group shots to OOTD selfies. Our creative director even put it to the test at Australian Fashion Week, where capturing quick behind-the-scenes moments is essential. Now available in New Zealand, it features two and ten second timer options plus a small angle adjustment accessory for easier framing on flat surfaces, no tripod needed.
