Labour Weekend is finally here, ending the public holiday drought after what feels like a very long hibernation. It’s literally the time of the year to treat yourself with zero inhibition, so whichever way you choose to relax this long weekend, we’ve spent the better part of our day conjuring up some crunch looks to suit your mood. And while many of you will be hitting the road, hitting the beach or hitting the couch, we hope that hitting your head against the wall figuring out what to wear is officially crossed off the list. Road trip
Clocking up some serious kms this weekend? In the interest of comfort for prolonged periods in transit and equally important roadside selfies, we’ve opted for a vintage tee which is also the key for adding instant ‘tude appeal to an otherwise tepid outfit. Dust yours off and tuck into a pair of culottes, for a silhouette that not only looks on trend, but feels breezy, ultra comfortable and totally relaxed – imperative on the open road. Stay-cation
If you haven’t got a plan underway, don’t panic. Leaving town for a long weekend can be totally overrated. By staying home, you’re getting essentially three Sundays in a row of bubble baths, facials, fresh cotton, cozy knits and pajamas. Besides, you’ll be looking revitalised and thinking crystal clear on Tuesday morning while your co-workers are still recovering. For our stay-cation edit, we’ve chosen a long-sleeve t-shirt you can wear underneath a cami top or wear it standalone with either the matching silk-satin shorts or Lonely pants. Beach bound
For the bold and/or those genetically blessed with bodies that can withstand cold temperatures and heading to the beach, then dive into this pool of delicious assortments. With the weather nationwide tempering less than ideal cloud cover, don your strappiest fantastic bikini (if you dare), as definitive tan lines are less likely to eventuate (full disclaimer: probably best to do your due diligence here and check the forecast plus slather on the sunscreen).
