Caught a case of the winter blues? Allow these new releases to lift your spirits.

1. Bikini’s done differently

Rhoda Nunn, the label founded by Emma Muir, garnered serious attention earlier this year with her acclaimed collaboration show Mark of the Maker at Āhua. The standout piece? A classic t-shirt with asymmetrical bikini top detailing that sold out almost instantly post-show. But for those who missed out, there’s good news – Muir has reimagined the design into a limited-edition baby tee, crafted from off-cuts. Available in two colourways black and white it’s the ultimate elevated take on your classic white tee, perfect for adding a subtle edge to your everyday coffee run looks.

2. A celebratory feast

To celebrate its second anniversary, Karangahape Road favourite Tempero is hosting a three-night dining series this July 10, 11 and 12, in collaboration with beloved local restaurants Lebanese Grocer, PICI, and Apéro. Each evening, Tempero’s head chef Fabio Bernardini will join forces with a guest chef to co-create a four-course menu complete with drink pairings, naturally. Exploring the Lebanese, Italian, and French influences on Latin American cuisine, the series is a vibrant celebration of migration, culinary heritage, and cultural exchange, echoing Tempero’s mission to honour the rich food traditions of South and Central America. Seats are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

3. Power moves

If your inner voice is stuck on repeat — “I don’t have time,”“I’m too busy,” “It probably won’t work” — it’s time to cut through the noise with the help of Emma Grede. The British-born co-founder of Good American, founding partner of Skims, and chairwoman of the Fifteen Percent Pledge, Grede has built an empire by backing women, betting on inclusivity, and demanding what she’s worth. Now, with the launch of her new podcast Aspire with Emma Grede, she’s handing you the blueprint. Packed with raw, strategic conversations with women who’ve done the work, it’s a must-listen for anyone ready to stop playing small. If toxic positivity has left you feeling burnt out, Aspire with Emma Grede will reignite the fire in your belly — no fluff, just facts, and the push to (finally) take action.

4. Espresso yourself

Like the undeniable cosiness of holding a warm mug in your hands, a nourishing lip salve is a winter essential. Glossier’s new shade of Balm Dotcom in Espresso ($32, from MECCA) delivers a sheer mocha tint, lasting hydration, and a comforting hit of coffee. With castor seed oil, beeswax, and lanolin, it seals in moisture and leaves lips soft, shiny, and perky, without the crash. Who knew lip care could taste this good?

5. The future is bright

New Zealand Fashion Week is back—and now here to stay. Thanks to a landmark three-year naming rights partnership with Giltrap Group, NZFW will return as an annual event from August 25–30, 2025. The sponsorship marks a powerful unification of two iconic brands, enabling NZFW to continue championing Aotearoa’s fashion talent through a dynamic schedule of runway shows, panels and activations.
