With its blossoms, ducklings and longer daylight hours, Spring is great. But let’s be real: it’s the warm-up act, and Summer is the headliner. The season of barbecues, beaches and light layers, it’s already infiltrating the boutiques and new-season temptation is everywhere. But before you dive in and shell out for fresh styles, let us conduct an aesthetic audit by revisiting last summer's looks to determine which we should keep, tweak, or ditchCapris Bursting onto the scene as 2025’s most polarising pant, capris have won us over. Last year, the great debate centred on fractions – are they ¾ or ⅞? – but this year, the matter is settled: their slightly flared hem should fall about a Fendi Nano Baguette below the knee. Best worn with a jandal, sandal, ballet flat, or heel, a fuller shoe risks tipping you into eighties-mom territory. A precursor to this season’s longline culottes (get excited), capris are still very much relevant. Verdict: Keep.
