Top five trending beauty looks to know

We look at the biggest make-up trends happening right now and the products you need to emulate them.

1. Stained lips

New York Fashion Week SS22 Altuzarra

There is something so sensual about a stained lip—not only does it give a soft faded wash of colour across the lips, but it’s so lightweight you might even forget it’s there. One of the best things about lip stains is the fact you don’t need to worry about if it’s smudged or find a mirror to touch it up after eating. And when the stain does begin to fade throughout the day—even better.

Try:

Yves Saint Laurent Water Stain Glow Lipstick.

Dior Liquid Lip Stain.

Benefit Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain.

Clarins Water Lip Stain.

2. Eye Candy

New York Fashion Week SS22 Prabal Gurung

As long as face masks reign supreme beauty fans will adapt, which means this season it’s all about the eyes. So it’s no surprise to see neutral colours are out, and eyeshadows and liners in bright pops of colour are taking centre stage on the runways and in real life. Experiment with colorful liners and textured shadows in azure blue, emerald green, and even sunshine yellow.

Try:

Urban Decay On the Run Eyeshadow Palette.

Crown 35 Colour Back To Basics Eyeshadow Palette.

Colour X-Pert Waterproof Eyeliner #03 Metallic Lilac by Max Factor for Women.

3. Monochrome Moments

New York Fashion Week SS22 Bronx Banco

Remember the ‘no make-up make-up’ trend? Well, it seems that’s not really going anywhere but there is a new take on the minimalist trend with monochrome make-up. Think of it as elevating your natural look while still keeping your look pared back. To tie your face together, choose one product in a subtle pink or berry shade that you can use as an eyeshadow, lip tint and blush. Trust us, it’ll give you that lift you’ve been looking for.

Try:

Max Factor Blush Creme Puff.

Napoleon Perdis Cheek Switch Creme Blush Stick.

Chantecaille Cheek Gelee Hydrating Gel Cream Blush – Vibrant.

4. The Graphic Eye

Paris Fashion Week SS21 Saint Laurent

If, like us, you’ve only just perfected the liquid liner cats-eye flick you’re going to need to get practising again. The graphic eye sees eyeliner not just hugging the lash line anymore, but floating above the eye, along the eye socket or even underneath the lower lash line. This really is a creative twist on a classic look whether you opt for traditional black or try a white or coloured liner.

Try:

Lancôme Grandiose Liner 01.

Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Liquid Liner – # Basic Black.

Chanel Le Liner De Chanel Liquid Eyeliner – # 512 Noir Profond.

STILA Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner – Intense Jade by Stila for Women.

5. Retro Nails

We’ve seen it all when it comes to nails, and right now retro nails are what it’s all about.

Think swirly squiggles and shapes which stand out from the natural negative space of your nail. If a full hand is too much, try just one feature nail to test the waters.

Try:

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Buttoned and Buffed.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Walk the Hemline.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Clear Top Coat.

Nail Art Painting Polish Nail Art Design Brushes Tool Kit.
