Starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon, this dynamic duo in an OE-gone-wrong-turned-action-film prove that friendship doesn’t need to be flawless to be thicker than blood.
So what’s the plot of The Spy Who Dumped Me?
Basically, Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon), are two thirty-year-old best friends in Los Angeles, thrust into an international conspiracy when Audrey’s ex-boyfriend shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail. NBD, right?
Surprising even themselves, the duo jump into action, on the run throughout Europe from assassins and a suspicious-but-charming British agent (hey, we’re not all immune), as they hatch a plan to save the world. Because let’s be honest, if the film doesn’t involve saving the world, is it even an action film?
And if watching them hijack a car – before failing miserably as they soon discover they don’t drive manual – doesn’t resonate with you on some level, you’re nailing adult life better than 99% of us.
