March already? Here’s what FQ’s editors are adding to cart next

From lingering summer staples to the first autumn layers, here’s what our editors are currently eyeing — and adding to cart.

St Agni Pleat Loop pants.

With March fast approaching (we’re just as shocked as you are), we’re still very much in summer mode — but our carts are starting to tell a different story. The new-season drops are landing, light layers are creeping into consideration, and suddenly we’re thinking beyond sandals.

So we asked the FQ team: what are you adding to cart as we prepare for autumn? A wear-now, wear-later blazer? The loafer that’ll anchor everything? Or a piece you’ll thank yourself for in six weeks’ time?

Here’s what we’re loving…

Sarah Murray, editor in chief

I’m obsessed with the colour and detachable cape on this Rebe dress — it instantly elevates it for evening. The By Lucia ‘M’ Ring has been on my radar forever (for my surname!) and I still can’t get enough of this Vivienne Westwood corset top. Autumn boots are already calling my name… and, of course, they’ve made it straight into my cart!

REBE, Column Cape Dress, $649.
Mi Piaci, Manhatten Knee High Boot $600.
By Lucia, Signature Pavé Initial Ring, $3865.
Vivienne Westwood Sunday Top in Navy, $875 via Muse Boutique.

I’ve had my eye on the gorgeous OHEN balconette bras forever, and it’s finally time to retire the tired ones and upgrade properly. I’m also loving the Rhode peptide lip liner and tint (already in my cart for autumn) and pencilling in Velvaere FLOW & GLOW for a much-needed post-deadline reset.

OHEN, The Balconette Bra in Sable, $129.
Rhode, Peptide Lip Shape Contouring Lip Shaper, $47 via Mecca.
Rhode, Peptide Lip Tint Nourishing Glaze, $39 via Mecca.
Velvaere, FLOW & GLOW treatment, $300.

I can’t stop thinking about the Harris Tapper Macy dress — definitely not in the budget, but so gorgeous! I also have elevated workwear on the mind this month, the St Agni silk cami and pleat loop pants are pieces I know I’ll wear again and again. I’m also loving the Commonplace Essentials Claro heels.

Harris Tapper, Macy dress, $829.
St Agni, Silk Canvas Cami, $525.
St Agni, Pleat Loop Pants, $629.
Commonplace Essentials, Claro Heel, $379.

I can’t resist accessories, so this Christopher Esber bag, Bottega sunglasses, and Alias Mae shoes were an easy add to cart. I’ve actually already bought the sunglasses (girl math: basically earrings and shades all in one). And these DÔEN shorts have been on my radar forever, so I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger.

Christopher Esber, Deia Tote Bag in Serpent, $1895 via Muse Boutique .
DÔEN, Iona Silk Short in Black, $655 via Muse Boutique.
Alias Mae, Rue in Moss Satin, $266.
Bottega Veneta, Drop Aviator Sunglasses, $1095 via Sunglass Bar.

Vanessa Bathfield, commercial editor

I’ve been stalking the Muse Lexy coat for a while and am utterly obsessed — the ultimate winter investment that makes every cold-weather look feel luxe. I’m also loving the Harris Tapper Onassis bag, and of course I couldn’t resist the cult-favourite Wynn Hamlyn woven bag now on pre-order, and these Tom Ford shades are my go-to for hiding the telltale signs of sleepless nights, thanks to my little ones.

Charlotte Simone, Lexy Coat in Chocolate Brown, $749 via Muse Boutique.
Wynn Hamlyn, Woven Beaded Bag in Black/White, $250.
Harris Tapper, Onassis Bag in Silk Taffeta, $399.
Tom Ford, Autari Ft1209 01a 56 Shiny Black Smoke, $539 via SunglassStyle.

Tiffany Low, commercial director

I’m in my bridal era, so naturally anything ivory or white is calling my name. I can’t decide on the Porter James jacket (white or black?) — I’ll probably need both — and this Toteme clutch is just the right size for all my essentials, plus the T lock matches my initial!

Harris Tapper, Chaimberlain Top in Nylon, $389.
Toteme, T-Lock Small Leather Clutch, $1485 via Mytheresa.
Porter James Sports, Blouson Jacket in Black, $449.
SIR., Lilou String Triangle Top, $145 & Lilou String Brief $145.

Bridget Hewitt, brand & strategy director

I love the Dominique Healy Francis top — the tie waist and deep neckline has totally sold me! Silk Laundry pants are a staple, and I’m finally investing in the Root colour. Heading back to work is my excuse to purchase the Deadly Ponies Mr Bandit tote, and these Paris Georgia Dune wedges are the comfiest classics that elevate every outfit.

Paris Georgia, Dune Wedge in Black, $890.
Dominique Healy, Francis Top in Espresso, $300.
Silk Laundry, Bias Cut Pants in Root, $520.
Deadly Ponies, Mr Bandit Tote Maxi in Black, $999.
