Raising the bar even higher — literally — Cordis Auckland has recently opened the 17-storey Pinnacle Tower. The hotel houses an additional 244 premium rooms and signature suites, making it New Zealand’s largest hotel, with a room count of 640. And with 360-degree views of the City of Sails from its upper floors, you will enjoy the sites while in ultimate relaxation mode.

Designed by acclaimed New Zealand architect Jasmax, the interiors exude sleek luxury with contemporary finishes. The new rooms and suites, by renowned interior designers Space Studio, are versatile in design, with interconnecting room options, ideal for families and groups.

The five-star hotel caters for all tastes with its enticing gastronomic options. Eight restaurant is a unique interactive dining experience with (as its name suggests) eight specialist kitchens, while the Chandelier Lounge serves an exquisite High Tea by Cordis with luxury tea brand TWG. The hotel’s newest destination bar, Our Land is Alive, has made a splash on the city scene, showcasing the best of New Zealand–made food and beverages with a local twist.

For those looking for a little pampering, the award-winning Chuan Spa is an urban retreat in which to relax and rejuvenate, perhaps after spending time in the fitness studio or rooftop heated swimming pool.

With the addition of two new event spaces in the Pinnacle Tower — the Jade Room and a state-of-the-art boardroom — Cordis Auckland has the largest number of event and meeting spaces in any New Zealand hotel. The new Vista Room in the original building takes the total number of event spaces to 18.

If privacy and luxury are your keywords, look no further than the palatial Chairman Suite. One of the largest premium offerings in Auckland, it is on the top floor of the Pinnacle Tower and features a dedicated VIP entrance. Spread over a massive 252.6m2, it includes a marble bathroom, private balcony with a firepit, and a selection of locally curated art.

A plush new Cordis Club Lounge on the 14th floor, with panoramic city views, offers an exclusive retreat with complimentary afternoon tea, drinks, and canapés, and made-to-order breakfasts.

Aesthetics are as fundamental as function, which is why Cordis Auckland is home to one of New Zealand’s largest commercially curated and commissioned art collections. Art curator Coupland Cormack has selected 46 innovative works, created by nine artists from Aotearoa. The collection’s contemporary design draws inspiration from the Māori concepts of Te whai ao (light before the dawn), The Manawa Line (a heartfelt connection), and Kaitiakitanga (guardianship), to tell a uniquely Kiwi story through stunning visuals. Experience it with a stroll through the new Art Promenade, which connects the existing hotel to the Pinnacle Tower. This abstract space offers an immersive nature walk through the Auckland landscape, including native flora of earth, sea, and volcanoes.
