Taylor Swift Kanye West feud

While you were sleeping…

Okay, so this whole Kayne West ‘I made that b*tch famous’ lyrics about Taylor Swift rubbish has officially blown up.

We’re not going to bore you with the backstory details because this drama is like, so not worth the worry. But what did happen last night was Kim Kardashian snapchatted a recording of Kanye’s convo with Taylor, where he was heard giving her a heads up about the lyrics to make sure she was okay about it and Taylor Swift approved them. Sorry, wait… she actually thanked him.

Yes, these are the same lyrics she claimed she never heard back in February when the song was released.

Here’s the official conversations transcript for your reading pleasure:

Kanye: Ok dope, you still got the Nashville number?

Taylor: I still have the Nashville area code, but I had to change it…

K: To all my South Side n—– that know me best I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex

T: I’m like, thisclose to over exposure.

K: Well, this one is, ah, I think this is a really cool thing to have.

T: I know, I mean it’s like a compliment, kind of.

K: All I give a f— about is you as a person and as a friend. I want things that make you –

T: That’s sweet.

K: Makes you feel good. I don’t want to do rap that makes people feel bad.

T: Yeah, I mean go with whatever line you think is better, it’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice.

K: Oh yeah, I just have a responsibility to you as a friend, you know. I mean, thanks for being like, so cool about it.

T: Aw thanks, I really appreciate it, the heads up, it’s so nice. Even asking or seeing if I’d be ok about it. I just really appreciate it; I never would have expected you to tell me about the lines in your song… And the flowers that you sent me, I Instagrammed a picture of them and it’s the most Instagram likes I’ve ever gotten. It was like 2.7 [million].

K: Relationships are more important than punchlines.

T: You gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it, I mean you honestly didn’t know who I was before that. It doesn’t matter if I sold seven million of that album before you did that, which is what happened – you didn’t know who I was before that, it’s fine! …[unclear] that I can make these things happen and that I have the ideas to do it and I create these things and concepts. Like, I’m always going to respect you. I’m really glad that you had the respect to call me and tell me that as a friend about the song and it’s just like, a really cool thing to do and a really good show of friendship. So thank-you.

K: No, thank-you too.

T: And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, look he called me and told me the line before it came out… jokes on you guys, we’re fine! You guys want to call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade but right but right after the song comes out I’m going to be on a Grammy red carpet and they’re going to ask me about it and I’ll be like, he called me! … I think it’s awesome that you’re so outspoken, it’s going to be like yeah she does, it made her famous. You know, it’s more provocative than they might still have sex. .. It’s not, it doesn’t matter to me… there’s not like one that hurts my feelings and one that doesn’t

This was Taylor’s response to Kim’s Snapchat exposure:

That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.
