My stylish weekend: Skye Ross, Miss FQ’s Digital and Associate Editor

In this series, we ask those who embody everything ‘Miss FQ’ to dish the details of their dream weekends. Here’s our very own Skye Ross with what she gets up to.

5pm Friday! Time for a Peroni at The Botanist with my Miss FQ and Fashion Quarterly team, followed by takeaway wonton ramen from Ramen Takara on Ponsonby Road, which I’ll eat while watching The Good Wife on Netflix, snuggled up on the couch with my boyfriend.

RN I’m obsessed with Ti Ora Summer Fruit Tea so I’ll have a cup of that in my favourite Karen Walker mug while I wind down from the crazy week that was.

Come Saturday morning you’ll normally find me having brunch at Takapuna’s Mimosa and then I’ll treat myself to a mini shopping spree at Superette where I’ve had my eye on the Anine Bing City Kensington bag. Dreams are free, you guys.

This weekend, however, I’ll be slurping down my go-to green smoothie bowl for breakfast before heading to work at Miss FQ HQ by 10am to celebrate the launch of Juicy Couture’s delicious new Viva La Juicy Sucré fragrance!

Remember how I interviewed Candice Swanepoel recently about this feminine fragrance? You can try it for yourself!

That’s right, this weekend we’re putting on an event, which you can totes join in on – we’re encouraging our favourite influencers and our lovely readers (that’s you!) to #EatDessertFirst.

A quick nap at home will probably be in order (I’m a nana, don’t judge, okay?), before getting ready for my evening.

After beautifying myself with Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Water Foundation, Inika Baked Mineral Bronzer and Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder, throwing on my Topshop Joni Jeans and Ruby Aria Blouse, and spritzing myself with the sweet-as-can-be Viva La Juicy Sucré perfume – it’s officially my new go-to. I’ll head out to dinner at The Blue Breeze Inn, where I can never resist the steamed pork and prawn wontons, and the cured salmon and raw vegetable salad.

After dinner I’ll go for a drink at Mea Culpa where I’ll order an espresso martini (hopefully they play my (and everyone else’s) favourite song right now, Humble by Kendrick Lamar), or if I’m feeling low-key, I’ll head home to binge watch VICELAND.

Sunday brunch will be at Takapuna Beach Café with my mum, and then I’ll round out the weekend with a walk along the beach with her Cavoodle dog Charlie who I absolutely adore, or I’ll just curl up on the couch with Daring & Disruptive: Unleashing the Entrepreneur by Lisa Messenger.

I love making this Moroccan Spiced Pearl Barley Salad by Mondays Wholefoods on a Sunday night, and for a beauty indulgence, I slather on the Origins Drink Up Intense Overnight Mask and apply the Lonvitalite 24K Gold & Collagen Eye Mask – this always puts me in a good space for the week ahead.

Finally in bed, I’ll browse through Matches Fashion, and peruse over endless Into The Gloss Top Shelfies before my eyelids start to get heavy, and then phone down, lights out, perfect weekend done!
