Is there any garment more celebrated in fashion than the little black dress? Be it short and sweet, loose and relaxed or elegantly sexy, nothing else quite stands the test of time.

For this year’s annual Dress Week, which is now in its eighth year, moochi have enlisted the help of five influential New Zealand women to each design their version of the perfect black dress, which are available here.

Moochi creative director Kellie Taylor said each collaborator had their own unique point of view when it came to fashion.

“Collectively we feel this ‘set’ really speaks to Moochi about what the modern woman is always looking for in her own look – personality, confidence and timelessness.”

London-based blogger and photographer Jessie Bush, who originally hails from New Zealand, said she designed a dress that could be worn during the day with flats and a leather biker jacket or at night with a pair of stilettos.

“Timeless, minimal, sexy without being sexy.

“I’d wear it any way – that’s the beauty of a black dress.”
