Her blue beehive, green tube dress and pearl necklace have made Marge Simpson somewhat of a style icon, appearing in fashion spreads alongside Karl Lagerfeld and sketched into high-end designer dresses by artist Alexsandro Pablo.

And now the doting housewife is MAC Cosmetics’ latest muse, starring in a collaboration with the brand to celebrate the cartoon’s 25th anniversary.

It isn’t the first collaboration MAC have done with fictional characters: Marge follows in the footsteps of Hello Kitty, Archie (of Archie Comics), Wonder Woman and, more recently, the witch in the soon-to-be-released movie Malifecent starring Angelina Jolie.

Details about products are being kept under wraps, although we’re betting there’s a red lipstick in there somewhere (Marge is partial to a bit of rouge lippy for special occasions).

The collection will be available in MAC counters later this year.
