Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have welcomed their baby girl via surrogacy.
The announcement was made on Kim Kardashian West’s website on January 15, 2018 at 12:47 am, with a large text image reading “SHE’S HERE” accompanied by a message on behalf of the proud parents.
The statement read:
Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.
Love,
Kim Kardashian West
WATCH: Was Kylie Jenner Kim Kardashian’s surrogate?
Desperate for a third child to join daughter North (4), and son, Saint (2), Kim and Kanye opted to have baby number three carried via surrogacy as a precaution following Kim’s diagnosis of placenta acreta, a condition that involves complications when removing the placenta after birth.
Over the duration of the pregnancy, Kim Kardashian accidentally let slip of the baby’s gender during an episode of Ellen in November last year, and further sent social media alight with postings of her ‘Tea for 3’ high tea themed baby shower populated by striking cherry blossoms.
While the name and images of baby number three are yet to surface, if the older siblings are anything to go by, we’re expecting another genetically charming addition to the Kardashian West family.
Congratulations Kiki and Kanye!
