Every October, the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation challenges New Zealanders to take action to raise awareness of breast cancer, a disease which affects 1 in 9 women in this country.

The beauty brands within The Estee Lauder Companies (including Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, La Mer and Lab Series) are getting behind the cause with sales of their sought-after Pink Ribbon products going towards fundraising efforts for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. (FQ hot tip: The La Mer lip balm is a must-have.)

If you want to get more ‘actively’ involved, you can also participate in their Pink Star Walk or sponsor someone who is taking part. The 5km or 10km night walks will happen in Auckland on the 17 October and Christchurch on the 7 November (the first walk, in Wellington, has already taken place on the 3 October). The money raised from the walks will be used to fund vital research projects and support women recovering from and living with breast cancer in New Zealand.
