As New Zealand Fashion Week brought Aotearoa’s most stylish to Tāmaki Makaurau, FQ gathered an intimate group of women for a spring escape defined by indulgence and style — set against the striking backdrop of The Hotel Britomart.
Upon our arrival, the concierge seamlessly took our bags, allowing us to slip into one of two sleek Lexuses (the Lexus RX 500h F SPORT Performance and the Lexus RX 350h Limited) that whisked us away to our first appointment of the day. We soon arrived at Commercial Bay for an indulgent afternoon of beauty as The Nook was transformed into the FQ Salon. We began with a one-on-one consultation with Probeauty’s skin expert, Antonia, for tailored advice and insights, followed by a personalised hair styling session with ghd’s latest chronos curve tools and a flawless make-up look courtesy of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. The result? Perfectly polished, front row-ready guests.
After check-in to our incredibly chic rooms at The Hotel Britomart, it was time to dress for the night ahead. The finishing touch to our outfits? A sparkling Michael Hill jewellery piece. We then made our way to Queens Rooftop where we were treated to a late lunch full of conversation and plates made for sharing. From Seafood towers layered with delicacies — oysters, sashimi, and salt air notes to match — to perfectly flavoured fries we will be dreaming about for days to come, it was the ultimate late lunch.
With panoramic views over the Waitematā Harbour, it was the ideal setting to savour the moment (while sipping our custom FQ French Martinis, of course) before the evening’s main event: the Juliette Hogan NZFW show at Shed 10. Attending as special guests of Juliette herself, the sleepover party took their front-row seats for one of the week’s most anticipated shows, immersed in the elegance and craftsmanship that define the designer’s work.
After securing our street style snaps and sipping champagne with friends on the FROW, we returned to The Hotel Britomart ready to wind down in luxe Juliette Hogan loungewear. All that was left to do was indulge in a late-night snack – delicious burgers courtesy of Kingi – and get ready for some well deserved beauty sleep.
Morning began with a leisurely breakfast at Kingi, where seasonal fare reflected the hotel’s commitment to sustainable, locally sourced dining. By late morning, it was time to farewell the sleepover, refreshed, styled, and inspired to take on the rest of New Zealand Fashion Week.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our partners—The Hotel Britomart, Lexus, Commercial Bay, Probeauty, ghd, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Michael Hill, Queens Rooftop, Juliette Hogan, and Kingi—for making the FQ Spring Sleepover an unforgettable highlight of the season.
