Flowers to send for a birthday

Eden says: “Something special and unique like dahlias or peonies would be perfect as they will most likely to be sent lots of flowers for their birthday so try and stand out from the rest of the bunch)!

Choose flowers which make a statement to mark a special occasion.

Flowers to say ‘I love you’

Eden says: “You really can’t beat roses. For something a little different to red roses, try old fashioned garden roses. Mix them with a beautiful foliage like copper beach but keep the bouquet simple and classic and let the roses speak for themselves.”

Classic flowers

Roses might be a classic choice but mix beautifully with interesting foliage.

Flowers to say ‘Thank you’

Eden says: “Bright cheerful flowers like double daffodils or tulips are a great option. Bright flowers send off happy vibes so a bunch of bright, colourful blooms will make someone feel special.”

Flowers to say ‘I’m sorry’

Eden says: “For ‘I’m sorry’ flowers, it’s important to show that you’ve put thought into your choice. So just make sure it’s their favourite flower! This lets them know you care and that you know what makes them happy.”

Do a little detective work to find out which flowers are the person’s favourite.

Which flowers to send just because

Eden says: “Anything seasonal and underrated like a big bunch of one type of flower – ask your florist what they’ve got in stock.”

Don’t be afraid to let a little of your personality shine through.

Flowers to send in sympathy

Eden says: “Usually white and green is the most appropriate combination of flowers to send in sympathy. Just keep in mind that they will be receiving lots of flowers so it’s a good idea to ask the florist which is the most special bloom they have and go with that. Another tip is to send these in a vase as they might not be able to accommodate all the flowers. Don’t be afraid to send something with a bit of colour also. Traditionally white calla Lillies are the go-to bloom for bereavement.”
