Looks like Pillowtalk is over.
After dating for two years, model Gigi Hadid and her musician and designer boyfriend Zayn Malik have confirmed they’ve separated.
Rumours initially surfaced after The Sun published a piece suggesting the couple had ended their relationship. And now the couple have taken to Twitter to address and confirm the speculation.
Zayn was the first to comment in a statement, saying: “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend.”
“I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ.”

Shortly after, Gigi followed Zayn with her own comment on Twitter: “Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years .. not only in the relationship but in life in general.”
Gigi went on to say: “I’m forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons that Z and I shared. I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be. xG.”

Despite the breakup appearing mutual, Zayn has unfollowed Gigi on Instagram and also purged the rest of the Hadid family. Taking to Instagram, he wrote a cryptic post about life throwing you lemons which suggest he’s taking the breakup hard!
The pair originally started dating in late 2015 after Zayn asked Gigi out following his performance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
