That old adage ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ is no urban myth. The extract phloretin (found in the leaves, flesh and skin) has become an anti-ageing powerhouse, especially in the war on brown spots. It’s one of the few antioxidants that quickly absorbs into skin. Decleor researchers have discovered apple seed actract also helps stabilise the retinol in their anti-ageing range of products, slowing its release into the skin and making it less likely to cause irritation.
