First glimpse at Kenzo x H&M

Get your first glimpse of the much-anticipated Kenzo x H&M collection here.

H&M has released three images from their upcoming designer collaboration with French luxury house Kenzo – and if tiger print is your thing, you’re set.

Label founder Kenzo Takada’s inclination towards bright colours, clashing patterns and the famous tiger motif has been firmly adhered to by current creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon in their mainline collections, and these design characteristics look set to stay in play for H&M’s high street range.

With a campaign fronted by artists and activists rather than models, Lim and Leon have kept Takada’s ideals of individuality, inclusivity and influence very close to their hearts – and their sketchbooks – and the final lookbook images are testament to this vision.

The newly released images star Amy Sall, an activist and founder of  SUNU: Journal of African Affairs, Critical Thought  + Aesthetics; artist and poet Juliana Huxtable; musician Oko Ebombo; and makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, who is also a member of the London-based collective Theo Adams Company.

The collection is reportedly due to land in stores and online in early November, and in true H&M style, they’re drip-feeding us information and imagery to create as much anticipation as possible.

Let’s just say, it’s working.
