On Wednesday night, Fashion Quarterly brought together a special group of women to toast the launch of our newly released ‘Power’ issue with another blissful sleepover. Our backdrop? The luxurious Park Hyatt Auckland.
Our guests checked into their waterfront rooms, where floor-to-ceiling views of the city skyline and Waitemata Harbour provided the perfect backdrop for a leisurely moment with the latest issue of Fashion Quarterly. But, all thoughts of lush king-sized beds and harbour views were put on hold as the famed FQ Sleepover gift bag was waiting. This season’s gifting included Armani’s new Power of You fragrance, jewellery from Michael Hill, Shiseido ’s Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Advanced Eye Cream, footwear from ECCO’s autumn/winter ’26 collection and a bottle of The Hunting Lodge’s Seasonal Rosé 2025.
After taking an hour or so to unwind in their luxurious rooms, it was finally time for our guests to get ready for the night’s festivities. Jewellery from Michael Hill delivered the perfect finishing touch, while a spritz of Armani’s Power of You fragrance added an extra layer of indulgence.
The evening began at The Boathouse, where we celebrated Armani’s Power of You with a cocktail masterclass that felt equal parts playful and polished. Inspired by the fragrance’s signature notes, passionfruit and vanilla were transformed into a bespoke cocktail — shaken, stirred, and (most importantly) tasted. It was an invitation to engage the senses from the very first sip.
Cocktails in hand, it was time to step into the ECCO Styling Suite. Here, our guests had the opportunity to try the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection in a highly curated boutique shopping experience. Guests slipped into styles, compared favourites, and admired each other’s picks. Each pair balanced style with comfort, the kind of pieces you reach for again and again.
Then, to the main event. The Living Room at Park Hyatt Auckland set the scene for an evening of indulgence. A curated wine tasting by Hunting Lodge Wines opened proceedings, each pour thoughtfully matched and elegantly presented. What followed was a family-style meal featuring fresh produce and flavour-rich creations where every bite was a testament to the changing seasons. Conversation flowed easily, punctuated by clinking glasses and that unmistakable hum of a room in full swing.
Content from a delightful evening of celebration, we headed back to our rooms where the evening wound down with a moment of self-care courtesy of Shiseido’s Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Advanced Eye Cream.
