Hint: It’s a jaw-dropping amount
When Beauty and the Beast hits the big screen later this month, we’re predicting the Disney live-action remake will be an absolute smash, especially if this review by Miss FQ’s Digital Editor Skye Ross is anything to go by.
And bringing in the big box office bucks will be its leading star: Emma Watson, who plays the book-smart Belle.
While Emma was reportedly paid millions up front for her appearance in the movie (the figure is rumoured at $3 million USD), a The Hollywood Reporter insider says she could be set to earn millions more.
Her final pay all depends on the film’s worldwide box office gross. So, if Beauty and the Beast brings in as much as Maleficent‘s $759 million, Emma could take home an additional $15 million.
According to reports, the movie is already off to a strong start in the US, with $16.3 million from its latest previews.
Showing she’s well and truly got the skills to pay the bills, Emma has already made a sweet $60 million for all eight Harry Potter movies combined.
