Homogenised beauty is out, and individual looks are in – as seen on the runway at Huffer!

Each of the 30 models at Huffer had their own unique hair and makeup looks, which all worked cohesively with the nonchalant 90s vibe.

“I went through the casting list and looked at all the girls and put together their amazing features,” says Kiekie Stanners, senior artist for MAC New Zealand, who keyed the beauty look for Huffer.

“So the ones with the amazing brows, we’ve enhanced that. The ones with great freckles, we keep the freckles and add more on top to push it further. And then the guys with great skin, we’re just keeping an amazing skin focus. So it’s very young and fresh and very real, because we didn’t want them to feel too grown up, or too glamour for streetwear.”

Richard Kavanagh created the hair look for the show, which again, was customised to suit each model’s personal style.
