Think pink, flowers and lace from the Victoria’s Secret model.
In a glamorous ceremony surrounded by family and friends, Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman married New York Giants footballer Sterling Shepard – and it was a day that turned out to be the perfect balance of ceremony and celebration.
The couple chose to marry in Chanel’s hometown of Los Angeles at the Beverly Hills Hotel surrounded by white and blush blooms. Guests included well known celebrities such as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
For the ceremony the bride chose a dress by designer Zuhair Murad from his Fall 2018 bridal collection. The ivory lace gown featured a plunging V-neckline with a dainty lace bolero set over the top of the dress. A tulle veil and pear drop earrings complemented the gown.
Chanel let her hair down – literally – for the reception and wore a second Zuhair Murad gown made of pink blush tulle with petal appliques.
The groom opted for a traditional black suit and tie for the ceremony but later changed into a white tuxedo jacket with black trimmings and a black bow tie for the reception.
The bridal party was also a star-studded affair with Victoria’s Secret model Jourdan Dunn and actress Gabrielle Union filling two of the bridesmaid spots. All six bridesmaids wore matching ivory gowns with off-the-shoulder detailing by Watters and nude heels.
Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard had been dating for almost a year before Sterling proposed to Chanel on her 27th birthday on a Manhattan rooftop overlooking the New York skyline.
Chanel took to Instagram to share the moment, captioning the post as, “a night full of tears, of happiness. I’m beyond excited to spend the rest of my life with you Sterling Shepard. You are my soulmate, my best friend, my everything! Can’t wait to be your Mrs.”
