NIKKI GAPES

Stylist

What is your day job?
I have a website called Personal Style Guide, which offers inspiration to anyone looking to update their style. My most recent project is a fashion collaboration with designer Yvonne Bennetti called Martini and Jam. It’s a range of luxurious streetwear at affordable prices.

Describe your personal style.
Classic with a twist.

How does this translate to your bedroom?
My bedroom is my haven. I’ve kept everything simple and luxurious.

Where do you get your design inspiration?
Travelling and experiencing different cultures has definitely inspired me to become a little more eclectic with my style. Travelling pushes me out of my comfort zone to mix things together that I maybe wouldn’t have done otherwise.

What do you love about your bedroom?
The colour palette of soft beige, grey and aubergine tones, and the minimal feel, which evokes peacefulness and tranquillity.

Where do you shop for linen, soft furnishings and fragrance etc?
My absolute favourite bed linen is Frette from Cavit & Co. I love the scent of all Jo Malone products – creams, candles and colognes.

Describe your bedroom style in three words.
Tranquil, luxurious, minimal.

What is always on your bedside table?
Jo Malone Grapefruit Body Crème and fresh flowers.
