Treat yourself: These Auckland-based beauty treatments will leave you feeling brand new

We know it’s the season of giving but sometimes it’s nice to be on the receiving end. Here we list our favourite beauty treatments in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland we think you’ll love.

Saint Trio Facial

Saint Beauty, St Heliers

Nestled in the heart of St Heliers Bay Village is Saint Beauty – a relatively new advanced skin and beauty clinic. I went on a torrentially rainy day and it felt like we’d hit a hidden sanctuary when I was escorted to my room for the Saint Trio Facial. As the rain pelted down I lay safe and warm in the care of one of the therapists who gave me a steam-filled cleanse and then accessed my skin to see what I needed and a bespoke plan was created. The highlight for me was the Hydrojelly Mask Infusion and Oxygenation treatment which aims to nourish, hydrate and revitalise the skin.

Tronque Summer Body Prep

Tonic Room, Kingsland

Skincare brand Tronque and natural health and beauty sanctuary have teamed up to offer a Summer Glow Up Body Treatment, which quite honestly is what we all need for the season ahead. If you’re anything like me, I largely ignore anything but my face so this 75-minute experience acted as a balm to my ‘neckdown neglect’. As you can imagine the treatment is skin-focused with a therapist using light, lymphatic, flowing and detoxifying movements. Beginning with a gentle body brush using the Tronque Ionic Body Brush to slough off winter skin, it works to encourage a smoother and brighter tone. What comes next is Tronque’s Vitamin C Oil which is slathered on the body with the help of their body Gua Sha, aiming to stimulate metabolism and detoxify. Lastly, Tronque’s Firming Butter is massaged into the skin to hydrate. The treatment was exactly what my body needed, and afterwards I was treated to a Skin Tea from the Tonic Room.

Tronque Summer Body Prep includes a complementary Tronque Ionic Body Brush, $235.

Codage Paris Deep Pore Cleansing Facial

East Day Spa, CBD

A relaxing facial is great and all, but sometimes you just need it to delve a bit deeper. It’s a good thing then that Codage Paris Deep Pore Cleansing Facial does just that. Using the multifunctional LA celebrity-endorsed Facify wand it works to penetrate the skin deeply, removing the dirt and debris that can get caught in your pores. Naturally, a selection of Codage Paris serums are used to tone, firm and lift the skin with the magnetic pulse therapy. The facial finishes with a hope-it-never-ends scalp massage while a warming eye compression is applied. It’s the perfect treatment for someone wanting a more than skin deep style massage, and for those with stressed or pollution-exposed skin.

Face Sculpting Massage by Olga

Face Up Beauty, Remuera

As I walked into their new Remuera premises, I was immediately at ease. I’ve been to see Olga on a few occasions and absolutely adore her sculpting facial massages. Olga works deeply with all layers of your face, bones, adipose tissue and skin in a way that resembles a workout for your face. Although it’s a little more, shall we say, ‘hands on’ than a traditional massage, it’s the one I’ve found has made the biggest difference – not only to my face – but also my outlook on beauty in general. On top of that it is 60 minutes of absolute indulgence that you’ll be desperate to come back for.
