Say goodbye to tacky takeout, and sad desk lunches, people.
The day has finally arrived Aucklanders: a food delivery service that delivers great food to your door with as much effort as it takes to open an app.
Yes, peeps, UberEATS is launching today, and while it will only be available to central Auckland residents and those in the surrounding ‘burbs, word is there are plans in the works for expansion over the coming weeks and months.
There are 70 restaurants you can choose from including yumminess from Al’s Deli, Mount Eden’s upmarket Molten or dessert restaurant Miann.
So, whether you’re after a casual burger (yes, most of the time) or you want to go all out with the full dining experience, UberEats has you covered.
The service operates seven days a week from 8am to 10pm, and the average cost for delivery is around $5.99 over-and-above the cost of the order.
How does UberEATS work? It’s pretty simple: download app, open, choose food, and try not to visibly salivate in anticipation. Done.
There’s a bonus as well: FREE delivery on your first three orders by using the code AUCKLAND until the end of April.
So much goodness, we can’t even!
