If you’re like us and struggle to keep your holiday – or even weekend – gear within airline luggage requirements, read on.
When packing your carry-on or checked-in luggage feels like the elimination round of a reality TV show, The Airport Jacket could be your last-minute wild card. The jacket, which recently launched on Kickstarter, can help you wear 15 kilograms of luggage.
Sydney-based entrepreneur Claire Murphy, who created the weight-saver with her partner, says the jacket can hold approximately two laptops, an iPad, two pairs of shoes, a pair of jeans, five t-shirts, a jumper and a camera in one go.
But wait, there’s more. The jacket can be transformed into a duffel bag in just a few zips. And, much like the enthusiastic traveller’s cargo pants, it can be worn at three-different lengths thanks to zips-off sections.
The design comes in two spring/summer styles and two more winter styles for both men and women, from size XS to 4XL. They are surprisingly stylish – at least until you zip Tupperware containers into them.
Beating baggage queues, reducing baggage fees and eliminating lost luggage are some of the benefits touted by the creaters, who are seeking AUD$100,000 to take this jacket to the world. On offer are early bird jacket specials for pledgers, from AUD$239.
