Fashion resolution #1: Wow the world with statement earrings
It can feel like there’s plenty going on with statement earrings, and there is. The trick is to keep everything else simple. Take a pared-back approach and team tasseled or long bejewelled numbers with denim or other low key looks.

The fluted sleeve takes a back seat for now with the puffed sleeve fashion’s new favourite. If adding volume on top, streamline below to create a stylish contrast.

On the face of it this colour looks like it could be a tough one to pull off. But, even so, it’s still a great green and soon it’s going to be seen everywhere. Why not take a fashion risk, and just give it a go. It’s a colour that stands for optimism, and a little shot of this could be just what we all need right now.

Half-hearted attempts at this style won’t serve. If you are going to try this trend, find a gorgeous statement dress in fabric that falls well. The key to making this look work it to wear the dress more as a coat. Layer up underneath or wear buttoned up to the waist, just make sure to keep the rest of the dress open.

While you might already have the perfect black winter coat, put it aside for a season. Instead look for a coat that’s colourful and bright and shake off those seasonal blues.

Nothing says completely confident like colour blocking. The best thing about this trend is it’s not defined by a seasonal colour as such, choose what you love, add a contrasting pop – a bag, shoes or sunglasses – and you’re good to go.
