It’s been a busy year for Georgia Nott from Kiwi band, Broods.
But as she tells us in Fashion Quarterly’s spring issue, if she’s not touring with Ellie Goulding, writing songs with Lorde, or receiving awards from music legend Mick Fleetwood, she’s getting in as much downtime as possible in her new home of Los Angeles. Here, she shares her favourite things to do in the City of Angels.
“Disneyland is my favourite place in the world. You definitely have to build yourself up for it, though, you can’t just wake up and be like ‘let’s go to Disneyland today’. You’ve got to have a plan, you’ve got to have your outfit sorted…preparation is key.”
“I love dogs and LA is a haven for dogs. I pat at least one new dog a day walking the streets, it fills my heart.”
“We managed to perform a few acoustic numbers on the rooftop of the famous Capitol Records building. It was a classic stunning LA evening with that golden sunset and certainly a highlight of the last few months.”
“Hiking in Malibu isn’t as easy-breezy as walking up to the Hollywood sign.”
And when she’s in her second, second-home, the Broods tour bus… “If you’ve ever thought tour bus life is one big party, you aren’t wrong…if party = knitting”.
