Melbourne-based Simone Haag is a communications manager and stylist for interior design studio, Hecker Guthrie. Here she shares some of her favourite things:
Describe your personal style?
Inherently casual, always opting for a good pair of jeans, rock t-shirt, trainers and a snuggly cardigan.
What are your style rules?
Amp up the shoe and bag and hope no one pays too much attention to the rest. Also declutter regularly and go for quality over quantity.
Do you have a favourite fashion designer?
I’d have to say Isabel Marant for her ability to create rock-star cool, refined Parisian chic and everything in between.
What is your summer fashion must-have?
I just purchased a very cool 1970s halter-neck one-piece, which I think will be a staple summer item, generally with a crotchet cover-up flung over the top.
What handbag will you carry for spring?
A vintage woven clutch from the Salvos!
What would we always find in your make-up bag?
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector because it has just the right amount of shimmer. I use it as my daily foundation and regularly get “you are glowing” comments.
What is your favourite fragrance?
Hands down Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. I’ve been wearing if for as long as I can remember. When friends give me a hug, they always comment on my scent and how is smells like me. I love the sense of familiarity it brings.
What skincare product do you swear by?
Pretty much everything from the Go-To range by Zoe Foster Blake. I must admit, I was initially wooed by the colour palette of the packaging, but the products speak for themselves.
Do you have a beauty indulgence?
Yes, Carmen the eyebrow queen in Melbourne. It’s quite expensive, but you feel far more polished when your eyebrows are shaped and have some depth.
