5 things we loved this week

From scalp skincare and mindful movement to fashion that gives back – this is everything catching our eye this week.

1. Take a look

Luxury handbag brand SABEN has expanded its fashion footprint, with the debut of its first-ever eyewear collection. The debut collection introduces nine bold-yet-wearable sunglasses in four classic colourways – designed to suit every side of your style. Titled “Eyewear For Every You,”  the campaign celebrates individuality, versatility, and self-expression through elevated frames that go beyond trends. Each pair is prescription-ready and crafted with the same attention to detail and functionality SABEN is loved for.

2. A new state of mind

Les Mills Newmarket is raising the bar with its brand-new Mind Body Studio. This 274sqm space is a serene, light-filled retreat designed to house 20 state-of-the-art Reformers alongside dedicated yoga and breathwork classes – the first time these modalities have been offered at the club. With over 50 years pioneering group fitness, Les Mills is evolving to meet growing demand for balance, mindfulness, and recovery, blending science-backed training with holistic wellbeing. CEO Brett Sutton frames the expansion as a holistic approach to helping members perform, recharge, and reconnect with their bodies. With doors now open, this new studio promises a fresh, fashion-forward take on wellness that moves both body and mind.

3. MANAAKI returns home

Māori-owned fashion label MANAAKI has officially opened the doors to its first flagship store in the heart of Matakana. Founded by designer Kat Tua, the internationally acclaimed brand – which until now has been available exclusively through international stockists such as MR PORTER – is known for weaving Māori values and storytelling into contemporary fashion. Designed in collaboration with Shanta Trusewich of Studio Sio, the space blends vintage treasures, pounamu-toned hues, and curated taonga to reflect MANAAKI’s kaupapa. More than a boutique, the store feels like the home of your most stylish friend – thoughtful, grounded, and rich with story. Rooted in the creative energy of Matakana, the flagship marks a bold move in slow, purposeful retail – away from the city and into community. “It felt right to open somewhere that reflects the brand’s heart,” says Tua. A new chapter for MANAAKI, and a must-visit destination.

4. Eden Park turns pink

For the first time in history, Eden Park swaped rugby boots for stilettos as it transformed into a fashion runway for Breast Cancer Cure’s ninth Tees for a Cure campaign. Launching Breast Cancer Awareness Month in style, the iconic stadium lit up pink, showcasing exclusive t-shirt designs from 25 leading Kiwi designers including Zambesi, Karen Walker, Kathryn Wilson and Trelise Cooper. Each tee tells a story – some deeply personal -with designers like Tanya Carlson and Augustine’s Kelly Coe honouring loved ones lost or surviving breast cancer. With a goal to sell 5,000 tees and fund up to four vital research projects, the campaign is as purposeful as it is stylish. The tees are on sale now via Breast Cancer Cure’s website.

5. Skincare for your scalp

We’ve nailed the 10-step skincare routine – but when it comes to scalp care, most of us are still in the “whatever shampoo smells nice” phase. That’s where Joico’s Scalp Vitality range comes in, bringing a skincare-first approach to what’s happening at the root. Recently launched and perfectly timed for the season, the three-step system is designed to calm, cleanse, and restore balance to your scalp barrier. Powered by ingredients like stinging nettle, rosehip oil, and vegan proteins, the trio supports your scalp’s microbiome (aka the foundation of healthy hair). The Refreshing Shampoo gently cleans without stripping, the Exfoliating Foaming Scrub clears build-up with natural apricot seeds, and the Replenishing Essence mists on like a face toner for your scalp-hydrating, calming, and instantly refreshing.
