In a celebration of spectacular filmmaking and equally spectacular fashion, the Cannes Film Festival is underway for 2023. Considered to be one of the most highly-anticipated film events to take place annually, this year’s line-up will debut new films by the likes of Wes Anderson and Martin Scorcese.
To honour the commencement of the two-week long festival, some of the biggest stars in entertainment graced the red carpet in a flurry of upscale glamour. Sequins, drapery and intricate embroidery were seen far and wide, with luxury fashion houses stepping up to dress the attendees. Host to memorable looks like Bella Hadid’s gold-plated Schiaparelli gown in 2021 and Madonna’s Jean-Paul Gaultier cone-bra in 1987, this year’s red carpet did not disappoint.
