The modern Swiss watchmaker introduces the 'Big Bang One Click 33mm', an interchangeable timepiece set to redefine the accessory wardrobes of modern women worldwide.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HOUR GLASS

There is something to be said about the revolutionisation of an age-old craft like haute horlogerie. For many, the art of watchmaking is considered so sacred, that to defy the notions of tradition would be deemed sacrilegeous. Yet Hublot, the Swiss haute horlogerie house founded in 1980, has long championed innovation. Its visionary chairman, Jean-Claude Biver—otherwise known as the godfather of Swiss luxury watchmaking—paved the way forward for Hublot, reimagining the brand’s tradition and innovation as the “Art of Fusion”. Unlike its national counterparts, the timepiece house has challenged the conventions of horology and traditional metal craftsmanship. Artful fusions of precious metals and high-tech compounds have created state-of-the-art timepiece materials, such as “Magic Gold”—a new form of gold that is scratch resistant and almost three times harder than traditional 18-carat gold.

Innovations in materials (scratch-resistant “Magic Gold”, ceramics in vibrant colours, and sapphire), and the creation of Manufacture movements (Unico, Meca-10, and Tourbillon) are at the heart of the brand’s pioneering timepiece construction, reinventing time telling for the modern watch connoisseur.

While a trip to Hublot’s birthplace of Switzerland might be off the cards for the foreseeable future, fans of the brand’s precision and prestige can indulge in a trailblazing timepiece exclusively in New Zealand at The Hour Glass.

Guided by Hublot’s philosophy to “Be First, Different, and Unique”, the release of the iconic ‘Big Bang’ in 2005 established the hallmarks for the brand’s successive models: the perfect symbiosis between functionality, architecture, and design. The latest iteration to come from the ‘Big Bang’ family is the ‘Big Bang One Click 33mm’, a radiant, yet robust timepiece, patented with Hublot’s ‘One Click’ fastening system which allows the wearer to transform their look with just one click. Where luxury and versatility collide, Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” comes to play with an array of stylish rubber and calfskin leather straps to mix and match your wristwatch to your wardrobe. The stainless steel or “King Gold” case is adorned with a halo of 36 dazzling diamonds, bringing an air of luxury to your everyday. Like “Magic Gold”, “King Gold” is a product of Hublot’s groundbreaking material innovation. With a warmer shade than the traditional 5N 18-carat gold, this exclusive alloy contains a high percentage of platinum to stabilise the colour for longevity.

For an investment timepiece that lets you stay true to your style and lasts the test of time, the Hublot ‘Big Bang One Click 33mm’ is as good—if not better—as gold.
