Fashion Quarterly teams up with Fever-Tree mixologist Cam Timmins to pair four delicious tipples with matching binge-worthy shows.

If lockdowns have taught us anything, it’s that there’s nothing better than binge-watching a new series to transport us to another place and time.

To help enhance your streaming experience, Fever-Tree mixologist Cam Timmins has created four simple yet elevated drink recipes, inspired by the series you should be watching right now.

All you need to do is make your cocktail of choice, and get ready to sip, stream, and settle in!

1. The Pink Lady, inspired by Halston

The popularity of the shirtdress and jumpsuit are credited to Halston’s era-defining 70’s fashion designs. Watch this docuseries about the American design legend with Fever-Tree’s take on a simple but luxurious classic—The Pink Lady.

One sip, and you’ll find yourself transported to Halston’s dramatic Upper East Side salon before you even press play.

Where to watch: Netflix.

Ingredients

1 part of London Dry Gin

Dash of Maraschino Liqueur

2x wedges of fresh lemon

Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water

1 Maraschino or brandied Cherry

Method

Fill a tall glass with ice. Add London Dry Gin and lemon wedges. Fill to the top with Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic, finishing with a dash of Maraschino liqueur and a cherry to garnish.

2. Spiced Rum Highball, inspired by Outer Banks

Outer Banks season two has landed, with all the drama, twists, and turns we have come to love from the first series. Taking inspiration from the Bahamas, where the show is set, the Spiced Rum Highball’s colour is reminiscent of golden sandy beaches.

Where to watch: Netflix.

Ingredients

2 parts Spiced Rum

½ Tamarillo (flesh only)

½ lemon juice (or lime)

Fever-Tree Ginger Beer

Method

In a tall glass, muddle/crush the Tamarillo flesh, adding two parts Spiced Rum & lemon juice. Fill your glass to the top with ice, add Fever-Tree Ginger Beer to the top. Stir until all of the ingredients are well mixed, and garnish with a slice of lemon.

3. Lime & Yuzu, inspired by The White Lotus

The White Lotus follows a number of intriguing individuals on vacation at a tropical island resort, each coming to terms with the idea that the world doesn’t revolve around them.

Set in Hawaii, the show is dark, twisted and a little bit uncomfortable – you can thank the soundtrack for that – but it’s also the kind of show that’ll leave you wanting more.

Try mixing this tropical-inspired cocktail before lining up your first episode…paper umbrella optional.

Where to watch: Neon.

Ingredients

1 ½ measures of Frangelico

Fever-Tree Lime & Yuzu Soda

Pinch of Salt

Method

Use 1 ½ measure of Frangelico & Fever-Tree Lime & Yuzu Soda and pour into a tall glass over ice. Add a pinch of salt to finish and quickly stir.

4.Berry Highball, inspired by Lucifer

If you love watching crime shows, then you’ll love Lucifer—six seasons and 83 episodes of the most binge-worthy crime-solving series around.

Any conflicted fallen angel surely needs his drink of choice, and when it comes to Lucifer, we learn his preference is whiskey.

To mirror the unexpected twists and turns of the show, we have a twist on an Old Fashioned, fit for the devil, with whiskey and Fever-Tree blood orange.

Where to watch: Netflix.

Ingredients

2 measures of American Whiskey

2 wedges of Lemon

2x spoons of mixed berries

Fever-Tree Ginger Ale

Method

Put mixed berries (straight from the freezer is perfect) into a glass. Squeeze lemon wedges into the glass, and mix into the berries.

Add the American Whiskey/Bourbon and ice to the top of the glass, and top with Fever-Tree Ginger Ale. Stir and garnish with a sprig of mint.

If you’re after even more cocktail inspiration, here are four cocktails to warm up your September
