With many of us looking to make more environmentally conscious decisions with our wallet where our wardrobe is concerned, renowned Kiwi bridal designer Trish Peng has launched her new sustainably minded brand, Yours Truly.
“Wedding dresses are so rarely re-used and many women don’t often know what to do with
their gowns a few years down the track, so why not create a platform that allows people to
list and sell their wedding dresses like they do with other items in their wardrobe?” explains Peng.
The clever bridal consignment boutique is bound to become a must-visit destination for brides to be who are looking to buy or sell pre-loved and sample wedding gowns.
The boutique will not only be home to Peng’s own label, but will feature other coveted designers
such as Rue de Seine.
“With so much waste in the fashion industry, I’m excited to help reduce this and I think
launching the Yours Truly platform is going to save a lot of dresses in perfectly wearable
condition from ending up in landfills,” says Peng.
Yours Truly clientele will be treated to impeccable service by the Trish Peng team and will also have access to onsite alterations, with the Trish Peng workroom cohabiting the showroom space. Peng has also committed to donating $10 from every sale to charity, offering a selection of deserving causes that buyers can choose from including Women’s Refuge, Starship
Foundation and Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Yours Truly is open now at 37 Mackelvie Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland.
