Salasai is the latest New Zealand label to tackle the international runways, joining the lineup at New York Fashion Week in September this year.
Designer Kirsha Whitcher, who relocated the label to Perth at the end of 2011, said it would be exciting to show next to other ready-to-wear brands on a global scale.
“This is a great opportunity for me to show Salasai on the catwalk in NYC and work with some key people to market Salasai to the US market.
“I’m ecstatic that I have been invited to show and I look forward to making the most from this opportunity to grow the brand further.”
The label will show its AW15 collection in a group show alongside Australian labels Alice McCall, Keepsake and Cameo.
Karen Walker, World, NOM*d and Zambesi have shown at London Fashion Week in the past, with Karen Walker also showing collections at New York Fashion Week since 2006.
