Make the most of yours by attending as many alfresco and sunshine-laden events as possible – we have put together a list of our top events on offer in Auckland over the next few weeks.


The Moët Ice Brunch at the ASB Classic Tennis, Auckland

January 13

Looking for something a bit more glamorous this summer? Don your best tennis whites and join Moët and Chandon in the luxury champagne lounge at the ASB Tennis Arena for their stylish Moët Ice Brunch. With a Sugar Club-inspired menu designed by celebrity chef Peter Gordon and Moët’s resident DJ kicking off the party ahead of the ABS Classic Men’s final, there is no better way to draw two weeks of tennis to a close.

New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million, Auckland

January 27

Prepare for the best party of summer as the glitterati of the racing world descend on Ellerslie for the New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Million. Not only will you see 14 of Australasia’s top jockeys compete for the million dollar purse, but this year the Auckland Racing Club has upped the ante with another million dollar race – the NZB Insurance Karaka 3YO Mile. A day and night filled with excitement (and who wouldn’t get excited over million dollar races?!), glamour, live music and entertainment and with plenty of champagne G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge to go around, this would certainly be a good way to kick off your Auckland Anniversary weekend.

AKL18 feat Miami Horror + Set MO, Auckland CBD

January 28

Grab some friends and dance into the late hours this Auckland Anniversary weekend at magical seaside venue, Mantells on the Water. Featuring some world class music by indietronica band Miami Horror, music producer HIGH H∅∅PS, and Set MO (coming in hot from their debut performance at Rhythm and Vines festival), the AKL18 summer soiree will be THE place to be come January 28.

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Auckland

January 29

On our list of this year’s must-attend festivals, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival promises to be a musical experience like no other! Held at Auckland’s Albert Park, the combination of shady green park space combined with the urban cityscape location makes for the most dreamy location on a hot summer’s day. with a stellar line-up packed with 29 of the best new and established acts, you won’t want to miss it.
