1. Scents and sensibility
In the realm of beauty, luxury often comes with a hefty price tag, but thanks to beauty entrepreneur Jaimee Lupton (of MONDAY Haircare fame) this is not the case. Enter her latest project, Châlon Paris, a range of hand and body soaps, as well as lotions that boast mood-enhancing scents. Having worked with leading Parisian perfumer Alexandre Freile to create classic and elegant scents that juxtapose tradition and modernity, Châlon’s formulations comprise of top, mid, and base notes ‘to give you that same layered effect as parfum. With three scents to choose from — Lavender & Chamomile, Mandarin & Basil, and Rose & Sandalwood — you’ll be transported to another place, or even another mood. On the surface Châlon is practical. With multiple benefits to the skin, the products use hyaluronic acid to hydrate. The ingredients also nourish, moisturise, and repair and protect the skin’s barrier. The bottle and pump are recyclable, and, Lupton says, while they focused on what was in the formulations, they equally focused on what wasn’t. “We have an extensive ‘no’ list’ — meaning you won’t find parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, silicones, or propylene glycol in our products.”
2. Spice up your life
Famed for their premium quality bottled cocktails, Batched are inviting you to add a little spice to your next Friday night drinks with their new Pineapple and Chilli Margarita. Made using authentic tequila sourced from the Jalisco region in the Mexican Highlands and jalapeños from Mexico, this tipple is the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and boozy — making it the ideal winter warmer. Joining the brand’s already extensive range of bottled cocktails which includes Strawberry and Rhubarb Gin Sour, Salted Grapefruit Margarita, Passionfruit Martini and Whiskey Sour, a chilli margarita was a fitting addition considering the drink’s hype over the summer. Whether paired with your favourite Mexican dish, or enjoyed on its own with a chilli-salted rim, Batched’s range offers all the flavour and flair without the fuss, and can be served straight from the bottle or with a simple shake and pour.
3. Spin a yarn
Following their plastic-free production pledge made at the beginning of 2024, local slow-fashion label Kowtow has designed their latest reimagine capsule from surplus yarn rather than fabric. Composed of four nostalgic knitwear styles that pay tribute to vintage ski wear staples, each piece is guaranteed to last the test of time in your wardrobe. Constructed from a palette of 19 unique and repurposed colours, the pint-sized collection is bursting with pops of pink, red, blue and cream, offering monochrome lovers a chance to uplift their winter rotations.
