Each week the Fashion Quarterly team rounds up what to read, buy, see, shop, eat, and drink.

1. Moochi Palette Four

Photography by Mara Sommer

Moochi’s fourth palette of the year is titled Excelsis, and speaks to the new ways in which we express ourselves at the start of a season.

Expected springtime elements are juxtaposed with seasonless pieces, and styles are designed to be worn on high rotation—think oversized shirts, linen jumpsuits, and blazer dresses.

The campaign imagery features Aotearoa model Ngahuia Williams as Palette Four’s muse, shot at the beautiful Kawakawa House at Piha.

New Palette Four styles are dropped weekly. Check them out at moochi.co.nz

2. Aje Athletica

Activewear lovers will be delighted by the news that AJE ATHLETICA is now a permanent collection, taking you from the studio to the street or wherever your wellbeing journey leads.

Featuring styles that are both functional and flattering, it’s clear from the beautiful fabrications and structured silhouettes that the collection is designed through the lens of a fashion house.

From hoodies and knit tennis dresses to matching sets, shop the newly-launched collection at ajeworld.co.nz

3. New Balance x Jaden Smith

Jaden Smith has again teamed up with New Balance to create the Jaden 574, a silhouette primarily made from surplus materials. This means that no two pairs are the same, making the unisex sneaker style ideal for those who love a surprise.

A passionate advocate for the environment, Smith’s partnership with New Balance echoes the brand’s recent sustainability iniatives, including the goal to achieve zero waste manufacturing by 2025.

Shop the Jaden 574 at newbalance.co.nz, and note the unisex sizing.

4. Guerlain Rouge G Luxurious Velvet

While we’re anticipating our return to the office, we’re lusting over Guerlain’s Rouge G Luxurious Velvet, a series of matte lipsticks infused with nourishing butter for a velvety finish that glides on over the lips.

The unique shape of the lipstick ensures a precise and lip-hugging application, including a pointed tip for a precisely drawn lip line.

Promising up to 16 hours of long-lasting colour, there are 15 glamorous shades to choose from. Even better, you can choose your lipstick case from fabric patterns inspired by the Parisian Wardrobe.

Peruse the Rouge G Luxurious Velvet range at sephora.co.nz—including the refillable lipsticks and custom cases.

5. 'Flowers I Stole' by Jenna Alexandra Smith

Aotearoa creative Jenna Alexandra Smith has debuted her latest art series titled ‘Flowers I Stole’.

Each work is a visual interpretation of the chemical and physical reactions we experience as a result of emotion, love, and connection.

The bright and psychedelic prints are available at jennasmithphoto.com and endemicworld.com
