How did you start your career in fashion?
I started my fashion journey as an intern at Cleo and She magazines which, funnily enough, were once based out of the same Auckland office as Fashion Quarterly!

I originally had my heart set on becoming a photographer, but this dream passed as soon as I started my internship at Cleo and She.
You’re one of Australasia’s most prominent fashion stylists. Tell us about your career progression.
Moving to Australia was extremely challenging. I ultimately had to start my career again from scratch. I came from New Zealand where I was already established and known in the industry, to Sydney where it was the complete opposite. The love for my career has got me to where I am today!
You recently styled the Fashion Quarterly autumn issue cover shoot. What was it like on the day?
We were shooting on location 2 hours out of Sydney on a huge estate. The day was super challenging; it was 40 plus degrees with storms on and off in the afternoon. It was a BIG day!
You worked alongside your husband & prominent Australian photographer Steven Chee on the Fashion Quarterly shoot. What’s it like collaborating with him?
I always love working with Steven. We always challenge each other and because of our personal relationship we can be super honest with each other on set. I think this pushes us to go that extra distance.
