Actress Zoe Saldana, known for her role as a blue extraterrestial in James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar, has been named as the latest spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris.

Brand Global President Cyril Chapuy said Saldana’s confidence, values and femininity were what made her a great fit for the company.

“With her toned dancer’s silhouette, magnetic charm and delicate elegance, this spectacular actress is joining the L’Oreal Paris family.”

Saldana said she was thrilled to front the brand, embracing L’Oreal’s motto, “We’re worth it”.

“Growing up, I was taught to believe that I am capable to do anything a man can do.

“This family philosophy has shaped who I am today, and is a conviction that will always accompany me through life.”

Saldana follows other L’Oreal Paris faces Julianne Moore, Blake Lively, Eva Longoria and Lara Stone, to name a few.
