Read on for the five things you'll want to support, buy, covet, indulge, and splurge in this week.

To support: 'Ovaries. Talk About Them'

Camilla Freeman Topper.

Devastatingly losing their mother to ovarian cancer 27 years ago, for Camilla and Marc creative director Camilla Freeman-Topper and chief executive officer Marc Freeman, the brand’s ‘Ovaries, Talk About Them’ campaign is a poignant cause.

“Ovarian Cancer is the deadliest female cancer – yet still, there is no test. Women deserve a test. My mother passed away 28 years ago and statistics have barely changed, largely due to funding and awareness. Through this bold campaign, we are driving a new conversation for ovarian cancer so that women can feel confident to talk about their bodies, and rightly claim what they deserve as a basic healthcare right”, says Freeman-Topper.

In its third year running, for 2022, the ‘Ovaries, Talk About Them’ campaign aims to raise money to further awareness around the issues women experience when asking for medical help (including incorrect diagnoses), by striving to raise one million (to date, the campaign has raised $544,000 AUD).

Show your support by purchasing an item from the 2002 ‘Ovaries, Talk About Them’ collection, available in a deep navy and cream palette. 100% of all sales will be donated directly to the cause. Visit camillaandmarc.com to learn more.

To splurge: La Prairie 'White Caviar Essence Extraordinaire'

Skincare that promises to boost luminosity piques our interest immediately. And if you mention La Prairie in the same breath, you’ve well and truly got our attention. Created by the Swiss purveyors of luxury beauty, La Prairie, the new White Caviar Essence Extraordinaire is the skincare step you didn’t know you were missing.

While your initial response might be to baulk at the price tag ($675), wait one minute: like all La Prairie offerings, there’s seriously clever skincare science behind this essence. The luxurious gel-to-water formula features not one but four hero ingredients that promise to protect skin from all those annoying yet unavoidable things that lead to a lacklustre complexion like pollution and oxidative stress.

Along with cellular complex, caviar extract and caviar water, the essence harnesses encapsulated lumidose – a potent ingredient that inhibits the production of tyrosinase: the enzyme responsible for excess melanin production — aka pesky, uneven skin tone. Dark spots begone!

To wear: Isabel Marant spring-summer 2022

We’re delighted that the much-anticipated spring-summer 2022 Isabel Marant runway collection has made its way to Aotearoa, available now from Workshop. The clothes are inspired by Isabel Marant’s August holidays in Spain, showcasing a plethora of pinks and violets accompanied by sunnier yellows and oranges.

The French label’s signature styles we have come to know and love make an appearance, from parachute silks and voluminous blouson tops to embroidered denim. In particular, the whimsically patterned ‘Ametissa’ printed blouse and striking floral ‘Albisd’ dress make for bright statement pieces, and can be perfectly layered with warm winter tones for joyful autumn dressing.

Shop the collection in-store at Workshop Newmarket & Ponsonby, and online at workshop.co.nz

To covet: Dior's fall make-up collection

It was all about the eyes at Dior’s recent fall 22 runway show in Seoul, which showcased something that almost resembled a reverse smokey eye. Black matte eyeliner offered a soft line that continued to the lower lid, but was broken at the centre.

Of the look, creative and image director for Dior make-up Peter Philips, explained he created a line “that was simultaneously softened and graphic, by playing with the discontinued effects of broken lines.” The look was paired with a natural complexion and finished with a nude lip.

Our thoughts? We’ll need to start perfecting our eyeliner game, stat.
